About the exhibition

Plastic pollution has become ubiquitous in our oceans and on our shores. 'Beach Couture: A Haute Mess', is a collection of wearable pieces made from trash collected from the beaches and oceans. It makes visible, in grotesquely amusing fashion, what is often overlooked - but shouldn’t be.Ideally, viewers will walk away aware of this growing problem and provoked to take some action.

The exhibition includes: 10 Large format photographs of model Hannah Kat Jones wearing outfits from the collection, 6-10 physical outfits from the collection, 'Bedtime Stories' - a series of ornately framed photo collages of the model trapped inside a plastic doll house.
