About the exhibition

The stunning beauty of our natural world is on display in the annual Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition. The exhibition features images from the ANZANG region which encompasses Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea.

Professional, amateur and junior photographers from all over the world have captured remarkable images from our unique bioregion, demonstrating impeccable timing, patience, artistry and technique to capture these superb moments in time.

In this collection of award-winning and shortlisted images from the 22nd annual competition, each image is accompanied by technical information and anecdotes from the photographers on how it was taken. There are also insights from the judges to shed light on how they came to select the winning images. The 2025 competition judges Scott Portelli, David Stowe and Jasmine Vink brought a wealth of photographic and creative knowledge to the competition.

The full exhibition comprises 99 photographs that will require approx. 100 running meters. We also offer a highlights exhibition, comprising 25 photographs (winner and runner up images) that requires 25 running meters.
